Woven Bracelet Workshop
(SOLD OUT)
with Jackie Daugherty
When: Sat, April 6 from 12 - 3pm
Where: Artlink, 300 E. Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
Tickets: $40
In this 3-hour workshop, participants will create a stunning art piece on a cardboard loom! Using a simple weaving technique, you'll play with color and texture while you create your own unique bracelet.
The instructor will provide the loom, 2 needles, metal clasp and will share from her stash of hand-dyed yarns for your use during class time. Beads will not be provided. Feel free to bring beads you would like to use from your stash or bring a purchased bead mix to class. (Beads should be 4mm or smaller. Size 8 or seed beads work well. 1 tube of mixed beads is enough for one bracelet.)
About the Instructor
Jackie Daugherty is a fiber artist whose work focuses on integrating several disciplines including weaving, slow stitching, knitting, felting, spinning, beading and crochet into sculptural forms that express and reflect organic forms found in the natural world.
